So beautiful! Such a haunting, sad tale...that last glimpse of his true love mouthing a silent farewell as she disappeared into nothingness just as they were about to reach the Living World, never to be seen again by Orpheus (or anyone else for that matter, I suppose, except all those guys hanging out in the Underworld but I'm not sure how great of company Hades and Persephone are...). I love the story and this is a gorgeous illustration. Moral of the story: TRUST YOUR WOMAN! If you don't, you might end up losing her. I love her eyes, and the eerie, death-blue tint to everything, especially in contrast to the yellow. Beautiful <3.
